After a lot of jamming and whiskey drinking in the summer of 2003, TWS were born! Blending classic 70's rock and punk, metal and a little bit of tennessee magic the band have come up with a stripped down hard rock sound that can be enjoyed on it's own, or poured over ice! So enjoy the music and come and see the UK's loudest, most drunken band ever!!!!!!!!! Now the band have been playing with bands such as The Answer, Red Star Rebels, Voodoo Six, Red Light Rippers, King Lizard and many more top acts. Now promoted in London by Monsta Entertainments, The Whiskey Syndicate are a four-piece band from Wolverhampton, England.
The Whiskey Syndicate formed in 2003 when Drummer Neil Jefferies and Guitarist Anthony Wright left their previous band to do they’re own thing. They began rehearsing in December 2003 with guitarist Mike Davies and began to write the first few songs. In January 2004, Bassist Si Hill joined the band and the initial line up was born.
The band started playing live in July 2004 and instantly received a great response. Their next move after more live appearances was recording, so in October 2004 the band spent a day in Magic Garden studios, Wolverhampton recording a three track demo entitled “The Vampire E.P”. This CD which includes the first three tracks written by the band has also been receiving great praise from both local DJ’s and fans.
In June 2005 Richard Corry joined the band to replace Si hill on Bass Guitar. With a new, fresh sound and a new found passion the band have now gone on to record more songs, set up a website and do many more gigs, including supporting Blaze Bailey (Ex -Iron Maiden/Wolfsbane) on the UK leg of his european tour,In December of that year the band recorded their second demo cd titled Breaking Out.
2006 saw the band finish third position overall in Wolverhampton's battle of the band's final's, as well as supporting Irish Rockers The Answer.
2007 saw the departure of Drummer Neil Jefferies, replaced in quick succession by former Monolith power house drummer Stu Adams.
The bands present line up as had more attention than ever before, and continue to Take their unique Rock act all over the country.
